The Walk for Moms and Midwives is North Carolina Friends of Midwives annual fundraiser and will enable us to pay for our legislative efforts to pass Senate bill 622 and House bill 522 which would license and regulate Certified Professional Midwives in NC.
We believe strongly in promoting an increase in access to midwives who practice evidenced-based maternity care. NCFOM has been advocating for increased access to trained midwives in North Carolina for over 10 years.
Our Walk takes place throughout the state and is our biggest fundraiser of the year. All participants recieve a very cool t-shirt and a goodie bag.
